📚 On August 22, Kateryna Dehtyar, Program Director of Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration, gave a lecture on Lean Canvas to about 50 participants at the Summer School on Entrepreneurship as part of the Seeds of Bravery project. 🤩
🔥 During the lecture, Kateryna shared her many years of experience with Lean Canvas, emphasizing the importance of using this tool for startups.
💡 Lean Canvas, created by Ash Maurya, is an adaptation of the original Canvas business model by Alex Osterwalder and helps startups test hypotheses quickly and efficiently, which is critical for successful development.
The main topics of the lecture included:
🖇 Comparison of Lean Canvas and Business Canvas: Lean Canvas is adapted for startups to have a systematic view on their hypothesis and facts.
🖇 Prioritization of experiments: The importance of testing hypotheses using A/B testing methods, samples, or mockups to validate ideas early on.
🖇 Risk assumptions and MVPs: Risky assumptions need to be tested quickly and cost-effectively, and MVPs (Minimal Viable Product) can be expensive, so it’s important to focus on less costly ways to test hypotheses.
🖇 Developing a startup strategy: Startups should plan their resources efficiently and learn from mistakes. Startup itself is the – search – for a systematically repeatable and efficient business model.
🎯 Results to be proud of: To date, Seeds of Bravery has supported 59 Ukrainian startups with €2 million in funding. These investments help entrepreneurs realize their ideas, expand their businesses, and make a significant contribution to the development of Ukraine’s economy and technology sector.
🤝 We believe in the potential of Ukrainian startups and will continue to support them on their way to global success. Together we are building a future full of innovation and opportunity!
